Paul Macaluso, President
A restaurant industry veteran, Paul currently serves as President of McAlister’s Deli®. Before leading McAlister’s, Paul served as Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing Strategy for FOCUS Brands, where he led the collective marketing capabilities for Auntie Anne’s®, Carvel®, Cinnabon®, McAlister’s®, Moe’s Southwest Grill®, and Schlotzsky’s®, developing long-term, consumer-driven, strategic planning processes, creating a marketing center of excellence for creative services, social media, and PR, and building a digital roadmap across the enterprise.
Paul’s background includes more than 20 years of operations, franchising, and marketing experience with some of the most prominent brands in the foodservice industry, including Moe’s Southwest Grill® and several world-renowned foodservice brands. In 2013, he received the FOCUS Brands Leadership Award, granted annually to the employee who demonstrates clear vision, drive, and the relentless pursuit of growth. Paul was also named the 2013 Moe’s Southwest Grill® Impact Player of the Year for his leadership and tremendous business results.
Tim Muir, Chief Development Officer
Tim joined FOCUS Brands in March 2017, bringing more than 25 years of successful franchise sales and development experience to the organization as its first-ever Chief Development Officer. He is known throughout the industry as an effective, hands-on leader. Before joining FOCUS Brands, Tim successfully managed signature brands as an executive in charge of franchise sales and development for two of the world’s leading hotel franchisors. A key figure in the hospitality industry, Tim established a track record of achieving impressive results, directing new construction brands in North America and leading an aggressive, strategic approach to create new growth opportunities.
An active and passionate figure in the franchise business industry, Tim was a founding member of U.S. Franchise Systems and used his expertise to help launch and transform four start-up hotel brands into global brands. He continues to serve as a mentor for several leaders in the hotel business and resides on the advisory board at the University of Nevada Las Vegas Hotel School, his alma-mater.
Robert Dimson, Vice President of Global Marketing
Robert is the Vice President of Marketing for McAlister’s Deli®. Robert joined McAlister’s Deli® in October 2015 as Director of Marketing and ascended to the VP role in July 2016. He is responsible for setting the strategic vision and go-to market approach for the brand, which includes overseeing cross-channel message output, menu strategy, and integrating brand initiatives across the system.
Prior to joining McAlister’s Deli®, Robert held marketing positions with successful foodservice groups, a leading toy retailer, and a premium cable channel.
Shelley Harris, Vice President of Operations
Shelley is the Vice President of Operations for McAlister’s Deli®, overseeing franchise and company restaurant operations, as well as training. She came to McAlister’s in March 2017 after joining FOCUS Brands as Vice President of Operations for Cinnabon Franchisor SPV LLC. Since joining McAlister's Deli®, Shelley has demonstrated her expansive knowledge and experience with the franchise system and foodservice industry, developing innovative systems and processes designed to strengthen operational execution and align support for key sales-building initiatives.
Shelley has a proven track record of building high-performance teams and has used her effective leadership, communication, and collaboration skills to grow brand value. Shelley’s background includes more than 25 years of direct operations management experience with prominent foodservice players.
